About us
Our Longterm Aims
Our long term aim is to produce happy, confident and independant children who will be prepared for their entery into school. We will provide a safe, happy, caring and stimulating learning environment. We will treat pre-school children as individuals and encourage them to develop and learn through carefully planned play and by providing varied activities, equipment, and a good adult: child ratio. With guidence from the Q.C.A's Foundation Stage Curriculum we will work towards the Early Learning Goals.

DAILY TIMETABLE
9.15am Settling in and freeplay
Children arrive and find name cards (picture card only on their allocated day for interest table and one name card for snack board.) Snack name to be put on the snack board and picture one to be put in interest basket with toy. Children to hang up coats and bags. Enter into free choice of play.
9.30am Registration
Bell is rung for the whole group to assemble for registration. Names called and then followed by the playgroup calender, then a little bit of singing. Children advised of activities available for the morning. Children then can enter into free-play, adult led or small group activites.
10.30am Snacktime ( finishes 11.15am)
The children are asked to take their names from the snack board and take a seat at the table after choosing from the snack bar - in groups of six ( the younger children are asked first.) Once a child has finished, another can collect their name and sit down. After leaving the table they can enter into free play or a specific adult led or small group activity.
11.15am Show and Tell
Items from the interest table are discussed in a small group.
11.40am Tidy up time followed by a group physical activity
The children tidy up in small groups with an adult, then they all gather together and do a physical or a muscial activity before story time.
12.00pm Story time
Children assemble for a story. This can be interactive or traditional, then when finished, we all sing the "goodbye song". Birthdays are celebrated at this time.
12.15pm Home time
Parents and carers arrive to collect the children.
