Petitions
Any registered user of a community can apply to set up an e–petition. The Local Authority community administrator will see a list of petitions with their current status. Once your application for a petition has been approved, you can edit the petition and specify the following:
- Details of the petition
- Schedule (start, close and submission dates). The closing date is the final date for acceptance of signatures. The submission date is the date you are intending to submit the final petition signatures. Alternatively, you can just choose to “make current” and begin the petition immediately.
Once a petition is current and you have published it on your website, any member of the public can start signing the petition.
To create a petition you need to enable Petitions at the bottom of the list of the standard pages:
Once you have enabled the petitions page it should appear on the left hand menu. Clicking on it will take you to the following window where you can add or manage petitions
